Atari game lots of fun!!

At first we were worried about not having a phone. Steve took care of that and we were able to phone home. Found out all was well and then we really started relaxing.

I slept great! It took me a while to fall asleep because it is so dark and quiet out here.

Today I caught a fish. It was a largemouth bass. It fought real bad but I caught it.

On our way back from fishing we saw a heron.

Very peaceful here.

Coffee on the deck is the best in the A.M. You can hear the wild life. Raccoon ate some minnows we had for bait. :-)

Time to go - week went fast. For the most part we had a great time. Hope to come back next year!

Heading home today, had a great 3 days, kids love feeding the fish and swimming in the hot tub. Most beautiful spot is sunrise, sunset on balcony. Enjoy

Our first family vacation we've had all to ourselves since our two boys were born. I can honestly say it was the Best vacation and long time coming. All the fun outdoor activities we did as kids we are now re-living with our own kids. Our days are filled with roasting marshmallows over a campfire, feeding the fish from the rowboat, horseback riding, local amusement centers and restaurants. Best of all was just sitting and listening to the quiet sounds of nature under the stars, relaxing in the hot tub, with a crackling fire in the pit.

It was truly a rejuvenating family experience. I think Steve put it best the day we arrived-"If you don't have a good time it's your own fault."

Steve's family had 4 hours to enjoy the cabin before the next group came in. We had steak sandwiches and played pool! Sons Jim & Bob, Bob's wife Carol, and Steve and Kyultui's grandkids - Jacob, Nicolas, Bailey, Casey, & Jordyn.

Finished making beds and unpacking-Harry and Matt are out fishing already. This is a family's dream come true!! We hope to enjoy a week's fun & relaxing. Thanks to the Periales's ----more to follow

This is my first time ever in a rented cabin. I've only been here a few hours and already I'm very happy. This is going to be the best ending for an already perfect summer vacation. I hope to keep coming here year after year for the end of vacation.

Went to the Soaring Eagle Casino for the buffet-very tasty. We pigged out! The slots were very mean to me! But it was fun. Boys had fun in the game room and won some cute things.

Our vacation is winding down-Harry and Matt went to Big Rapids to fish-Alex, Adam and I headed to Merrill Lake to swim. Enjoyed watching the raccoons at night & campfires

Very enjoyable week of "no stress"

Adam loves to row the boat and fish. He has gotten very good at it.

We just arrived an hour ago. The food is put away and we're already settling in and feeling at home. We're awaiting the arrival of our friends at this point. People will be flying in from Texas an even coming from Canada. They will love it here; I'm sure, as we already do.
